Annabelle has never thought about marriage. She tends not to think of anything in terms of the long run. Why bother, when you don't believe you'll live very long, or that the people and things you care about will last?
"This served as my Grandmother's wedding ring, and my mother's," she explains. "It used to be loaned out to other members of the family who were getting married too, for the old superstition."
