Annabelle and Connor are lying in bed, comfortable, relaxed and sharing secrets and moments of their lives in low voices. For the past half hour or so, they've been discussing Annabelle's rather...unusual and sometimes complicated relationship with Tanya.

Connor listens, then gives a low teasing chuckle, kissing his girlfriend's head. "You realize, she wants to shag you, right?"

"Well, yes," Annabelle replies, with a surprised blink. "She's made that kind of....why are you laughing?"

"And you still doubt you are attractive... or how the americans say, 'smoking hot'..."

"It's not that I don't think I'm attractive," Annabelle says with a shake of her head. "It's just..." Her track record before Milliways was really bad where quality was concerned.

"I'm not used to people being interested in me that way, not really," she admits. She's had slews of men who wanted her for status reasons, for her body, for the person they believed her to be. There weren't many that wanted the actual person in that body and behind what they might have heard.

"Hm... well, you might have to get used to being flirted with..."

"I'm used to ignoring it, for the most part," Annabelle replies with a chuckle. "and occasionally bending someone's arm the wrong way when they're too dumb or too drunk to take a hint."

"I am glad you did not bend my arm the wrong way." That first time, months ago.

"You would have taken no for an answer," Annabelle says, chuckling. "The ones who got their arms twisted didn't."

"Oh, right then." Connor grins again, caressing her cheek. "So, your best friend wants to take you to bed and make you do all the voices and noises I make you do, and a few more?"

Annabelle blushes a little. "That's the impression I've gathered," she replies, poking him playfully. By now, she's quite capable of producing similar results from him, after all.

"She did suggest that I ask if you were into threesomes, but she was joking." There's a long pause. "I think."

There was that other incident after the nuclear destruction of Chicago with Urquhart, after all.

"You know, I've never even considered the idea... I doubted any girl would hang around long enough for me to imagine something like that."

"But I can not really blame her for wanting to shag you... you are hot." Again, he is not suave enough to keep a straight face.

Annabelle grins, moving so her body rests more on his, with her head on her folded arms resting on his chest. "I'm not going anywhere," she replies with a low chuckle, "but I'm not inclined to share."

"Oh, so it will be just you and her?" He almost keeps a straight face, but... nope, not suave enough.

Annabelle sticks her tongue out at him for that one. "Hmmm, nope," she replies, trailing one hand teasingly down his side. "Guess again."

"No need to." And he draws Annabelle into a long, romantic kiss, pleased at her unspoken answer.

"Good," Annabelle says with a grin as he draws her into the kiss. She is not smug at all, really. It must be your imagination.
