AU: Trinity Universe/FreakAngels crossover: First date

OOC: Takes place not too terribly long after this thread.

After certain events at the Chicago harbor there had been considerable amusement within the Æon Society over the pairing up of Annabelle Newfield and Connor. (Whitley Styles had won the betting pool, despite Jake's claim that he cheated.)

As for the reactions of the other FreakAngels to the news, well, who knows?

There was a furious spate of trouble starting the very next day, of course. All of the Society's founders have been run ragged for the last few weeks. For the moment though, things are quiet. (Or at least, if things ARE going crazy somewhere, someone else is handling the problem.)

Annabelle and Jake got back in town at some ungodly hour this morning, whereupon she fell asleep on one of the couches near the fireplace. (Jake is probably off somewhere regaling a pretty woman or two with tales of said adventure, because that's what he does.)

That description could have applied to David, which is hardly a mark in its favor.

"Mind?!" Annabelle asks, blinking. Clearly, she has not been getting her point across well enough.

Or Connor is extra insecure.

Yeah, that's it: see how he holds Annabelle's hands? See how he looks into her eyes, with hope, and with trust?

Oh, those eyes. How could anyone resist them, never mind poor Annabelle?

Her heart catches a little at the hope and trust in his eyes. She doesn't feel worthy of that degree of feeling.

She's not good with words, so she tries to put as much of her feelings into a kiss as she can. Like turning into something more. Trust, hope, joy, amazement. And desire, of course. (She's 17, it's not like her libido ever really takes much of a break at this age.)

The kiss, well, wipes his brain clear for a few (or several, or many) seconds.

There's only the kiss, and returning it in kid, and Drawing Annabelle closer, and trying really hard to not just grope her like a creep but that's really hard and it's also really hard someone could walk in any second and his hands do wander some and...

Well.

Hm. He's groping.

Sort of. A bit.

Hopefully Annabelle's not going to deck him?

The groping is understandable, what with her muscles and curves so temptingly to, er, hand. (We're sorry for that one, really.)

He won't be the only one with wandering hands for long, either. Curiosity and her own hormones prompt her to touch and explore, the tiny part of her brain that's still thinking hoping for a good reaction as opposed to a bad one.

The doors to the room close, quietly. Perfectly quiet.

Because Connor would be rather upset if someone walked in right now.

Heavy make-outs are happening, and nobody should interrupt, really nobody.

Annabelle would be upset too, so it's good that he's taken the initiative on preventing that from happening.

This feels good, very good. One would guess that it's even more intense for an empath, all things considered.

Other than the brief interruption of a rather tantalizing set of wriggles and contortions by Annabelle to get out of her gun belt for the sake of Connor's ribs and other bits, the make-out goes on without interruption for quite some time.

Probably ending with the two rather tangled with each other on the couch.

"I trust I've allayed any concern you might have about my minding you staying?" she teases, voice still a little husky.

"Hmm, yes. I hope I took care of any doubt about me wanting to stay?"

Hmm... he could stay like this forever.

"Oh, yes," she replies with a faint blush.

She's not feeling any great desire to move either. It's not afterglow, but the endorphin rush has left her feeling very relaxed and mellow.

"Do the others know you're planning to stay?"

"Arkady knows." Of course. "But Arkady just knows stuff. I think she, KK and Caz, and Kirk want to stay too."

"Karl might move to the countryside, I think he wants to be away from people for a while. Luke's not staying, he's leaving the moment he realizes he'd have to work for a living. I hope Mark stays, he should see how he can do what he wanted to do before people started hunting us."

"Sirkka and Jack are not staying, those two want to be alone with each other."

"That rather matches the impressions I got," Annabelle replies with a chuckle. Luke, Jack and Sirkka's paths seem especially obvious.

"I do hope we don't end up having to...deal with Luke one of these days." If he's that averse to working for a living...he mind end up using his abilities in decidedly unethical ways to get by.

"I don't think Luke's stupid enough to try something like that." Not in a world full of people able to kick his ass.

'Full' in comparison to their original world, anyway. "I hope so," she says, kissing him again. "I've been tempted to shoot him once or twice, but I'd rather not have to." He's been a bit...abrasive on more than one occassion.

Being curled up with Connor like this is rapidly becoming her favorite place to be.

Connor just nods.

Right now, he does not want to think about how much an asshole Luke is.

"Hm. Do you know how to swim?"

The idea of her boyfriend in a swimsuit has stuck in her mind, what can we say?

"Hm, no." He never had to.

"Really?" she asks, surprised. "That could be dangerous."

She does not want to think of him drowning. :-(

"Would you like to learn?"

Blink, redux.

"I think I should." At least to not embarrass his girlfriend at the beach.

"Oh, good," Annabelle says with a bright smile. "How does tomorrow morning sound? We've got an indoor pool that should be warm enough."

"Sounds good." And it makes him blush in double embarrassment.

Annabelle in a swimsuit: very good.

Himself in a swimsuit? Not so good...

That would depend on your point of view. At least swimsuits of this day and age cover a lot more, if a body's worried about their appearance?

Annabelle smiles softly at the blush and kisses him again. At this rate, it's going to be late by the time they head off to get some sleep.

Sleep?

Freakangels need sleep once a week. Connor will worry about that when Annabelle shows signs of being tired.

Hm, kissing.

Still, she does start to tire eventually. SOME people need to sleep more than once a week, and Annabelle is unfortunately one of them.
